Today: - In Math, we started our new unit on place value! We began with a fun teamwork math activity to practice working together and communicating as a team. Then, we practiced representing numbers in standard form and expanded form. Ask me to write these numbers in expanded form: For example: 937 241 (900 000 + 30 000 + 7 000 + 200 + 40 + 1)  234 678 894 247 29 873 13 245 42 651  - In science we started working on our waste management poster  - In writing, we finished our figurative language activity. Today, we learned about idioms and hyperboles. Ask me what I learned! We have been learning about figurative language and sensory details to help us add more detail and description to our writing as we begin our descriptive writing unit. - We also practiced using “triple scoop words” to make our writing more detailed and interesting! Today: - We health we talked about regulation and the different zones of regulation. - In writing we learned about onomatopoeia and personification. Ask me what they mean!  - Ask me what we did in P.E! - Mrs. Dang was in our classroom this afternoon and we did a visual journal art project.
