Today:

  • We started our iceberg identity art. Ask me what I included on my iceberg!
  • We had our first Music class with Ms. Wolsey. Ask me what we did!
  • We made our own parts of speech flip books to use during writing.
  • In Math, we did an addition and subtraction basic facts check-in. Ask me how I felt about it! We also started our Time unit and reviewed how to tell time on an analog clock.
  • In Science, we continued learning about Matter. We played a sorting game and learned which materials belong in each waste bin.
  • We continued our class read-aloud, Wild Summer.
  • Ask me what we did in P.E. today!

    Today: - We did a building STEM challenge. We are so excited to be starting the 2026-2027 year with you!  This year, our whole school will continue to use Blogger to make regular agenda posts.   To make it easier for you, you can add the blog right on the home screen of your phone or iPad or tablet.  We hope this makes communication between home and school easier and opens great conversations between you and your child.   The CBE and Mrs. Brinson will be communicating important updates and information to you through School Messenger email titled , “ Northern Lights News for ___ ”.     Today: - We did another STEM challenge called "paper chain." Ask me about it  - We started our first science unit called Matter. Today we made our title page and learned new vocabulary words  - We made bookmarks  - We continued to work on our self portrait art  - In P.E we played gaga ball  - We played Power of Ten Games   - We did our daily word work. Ask me what root words I learned today  - We continued our daily read aloud of "Wild Summer"  - We had some finish-up time today. We also had a class discussion about the importance of staying focused on our job, using our time wisely, and ALWAYS doing our best work.
